The 98th Academy Awards are just a few days away, and just like every Oscars season, I get in the mood to relive some of the best award-winning movies of yesteryear.
Luckily for me, Tom’s Guide’s Phil Rodrigues is a massive 4K Blu-Ray collector with over 300 physical discs in his home. I own some 4K DVDs, but I decided to ask Phil for some recommendations to get the best viewing experience on my OLED TV.
Phil came up with a list of 12 of the best 4K Ultra HD movies available to buy right now, with the caveat that they had won an Oscar at some point in the past. Best of all, every 4K listed below is available on Amazon, so you’ll be able to receive it just in time for the weekend and before the biggest movie night of the year on Sunday, March 15.
Whether you’re looking for a reference-quality thriller like Arrow Video’s The Silence of the Lambs or a modern film like Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer in 4K, we’ve got you covered. Oh, and remember to check back in on Tom’s Guide during the Oscars themselves, as we’ll be reporting live throughout Hollywood’s big event.
