Digital fuel management company i6 Group has raised $20m (£15.1m) in a Series B round that included backing from British Airways owner International Airlines Group (IAG).
The Hampshire-based company has developed a unified cloud-based platform deployed across hundreds of airports used to view and manage fuel inventory, lifecycle and analytics.
“This round reflects the strong momentum behind our technology and the measurable results it is delivering for customers worldwide,” said Alex Mattos, co-founder of i6 Group.
“With the new funding, we can expand our footprint faster and continue shaping the future of digital fuel management.”
i6 Group was founded in 2013 and is used by aviation companies including British Airways, JetBlue, KLM, Air Canada and Virgin Atlantic.
“Digital fueling is becoming the operational standard in aviation,” said Steve Uhrmacher,
co-founder of i6 Group.
“This investment helps us accelerate that transition by equipping airports and airlines with smarter, more connected systems that drive efficiency and reduce emissions at scale.”
The investment round was led by Yttrium and included participation from World Kinect and Shell Ventures alongside IAG.
“i6 has developed a unique technology platform that is transforming how aviation fuelling is
managed globally,” said Tim Kindt a partner at Yttrium.
“The company’s strong growth momentum and continued support from existing investors underscores our confidence in i6’s vision and execution, and we are proud to partner with the team as they enter their next stage of growth.”
