As PCMag’s lead home entertainment analyst, I’ve been reviewing TVs since plasma was a thing and 4K was a distant dream. I’m also an ISF-certified TV calibrator and a THX home theater expert. I test every TV that comes into the PC Labs with several thousand dollars’ worth of equipment to determine exactly how good its picture is. If you want to buy a new TV, I’m the guy to ask.
TVs always see steep discounts for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but not every deal is a good deal. These are the three best discounts I’ve found on top-rated TVs (plus a bonus fourth we haven’t tested yet but has a very strong legacy). You can save at least a few hundred dollars, and if you want a really big screen, you could save over a thousand.
The Best Early Black Friday TV Deals
The Value Winner: Hisense U8N
Hisense U8N TV
A flagship TV picture at a budget TV price
$897.99
at Amazon
$1,499.99
Save $602.00
With its incredibly bright picture and robust set of features, our favorite overall value for TVs this year is the Hisense U8N. It’s already an incredible deal at its everyday price of $1,149.99 for 65 inches. Black Friday cuts its price down by a few hundred across all screen sizes, and now you can buy that same 65-inch model for less than $900.
LG’s Best OLED TVs are Price-Slashed
LG’s OLED TVs are consistently excellent, and they’re all heavily discounted for Black Friday. The Evo G4 is one of our favorite TVs this year, with an incredible and very bright picture and a sleek, premium design. Its very high asking price has been chopped by $700 to $1,000 depending on the screen size and where you buy it, which means it’s still pretty pricey, but far more reasonable now.

While we haven’t tested it yet, LG’s Evo C4 is also marked down pretty considerably. LG’s C-series of OLED TVs have consistently stood out as excellent performers in the past, and it’s likely that this new model would follow suit. You can save at least a few hundred dollars on this model right now, and the 83-inch version is $1,200 off.

Samsung’s The Frame: A TV as Pretty as a Painting
Samsung’s The Frame isn’t the best TV in terms of picture quality, but that isn’t its main draw. It’s designed to look like a framed painting, and is an ideal way to show off art while still serving as a good television. Its matte finish is rare among TVs and reduces glare to really give the impression of printed artwork. This model is more for home decor than home theater visuals, and it excels as a digital picture frame. It’s also on sale for Black Friday, with discounts of $200 for the 43-inch model all the way up to $1,300 for the 85-inch TV.
