Insta360 has shaken up the action camera world with a fresh batch of accessories for its top-tier Ace Pro 2, transforming it from an 8K@30fps powerhouse into a full-blown photography tool. And yes, believe it or not, even a mini Polaroid.
Among the new add-ons for the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 are the photographer’s grip, three creative lenses, and the show stealer: a clip-on instant printer. The printer, dubbed the Pocket Printer, is designed specifically for the Ace Pro 2, which connects wirelessly via Bluetooth.
The printer remains the headline-grabber, as it’s hard to imagine an action cam that can be used for instant prints. Insta360 is betting people will love making memorable keepsakes in the middle of their adventures. Whether that’s overkill or genius remains to be seen, but it’s certainly one of the boldest hardware ideas we’ve seen in 2025.
It spits out glossy 3-inch laminated prints (54×82 mm) thanks to dye-sublimation tech. Insta360 promises the photos can handle water, dust, and sun without losing their punchy colours, right in line with the camera’s Leica-inspired look.
GoPro’s been playing with modular add-ons lately, like those Hero 13 Black lens mods. You can explore and see which action cam fits your needs with our detailed comparison of the Insta360 Ace Pro 2 vs the GoPro Hero 13 Black.
However, Insta360 is pushing even further with their three new lenses, including cinematic, ultra-wide, and close-up, to let you switch up your style on the fly. This offers everything from anamorphic-style shots to macro details.
Then there’s the Xplorer Grip Pro, which the Pocket Printer can attach to to mimic the old-school Polaroid cam feel.
This thing’s basically a battery-powered handle that feels like it belongs on a premium phone camera like the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. It makes the Ace Pro 2 easier to hold and gives it a more professional feel, which is perfect for folks who bounce between shooting videos and snapping photos.
If you want in, the Flash Print Bundle includes the printer, grip, and extras. It goes for £545/$579.99/A$1,049, or you can go all-out with the Ultimate Videography Bundle at £725/$739.99/A$1,359. Check the details at Insta360’s official website.
