Three kernel updates fixed issues that allowed apps to leak sensitive kernel state, cause unexpected system termination, and corrupt kernel memory. Additionally, it also fixed an issue that allowed attackers to create read-only memory allocations that could be written to. These issues were addressed through additional validation, improved locking, and improved memory handling.

Three lib updates – two libxpc and one libexpat, fixed issues that could allow remote attackers to cause unexpected app termination and arbitrary code execution. Additionally, an issue that allowed apps to break out of their sandbox and gain elevated permissions has also been fixed. These issues were resolved through improved memory checks.

Four webkit solutions that solved the problem of handling maliciously crafted web content, which caused issues such as unexpected process crashes and memory corruption. These issues have been resolved through improved controls and memory handling.
Additionally, the iOS 18.2 update has also addressed and resolved glaring issues related to passwords, Safari, SceneKit, and VoiceOver.
Additionally, Apple also fixed a vulnerability in the TCC (Transparency, Consent, and Control) subsystem that could allow sensitive data to be accessed by another program if exploited by attackers.
