The first wave of Apple Intelligence experiences are already available on eligible iPhones, iPads and Macs, including new Siri and AI writing tools. Apple will deliver an additional set of AI features such as Image Playground and Genmoji in the upcoming iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2 and macOS Sequoia 15.2 updates, a report from Bloomberg suggests.
It is speculated that these updates will arrive on December 2, as there will be no last-minute delays. However, the wait for the ChatGPT-infused Siri continues. It will likely arrive with the future iOS 18.4 update, possibly in early 2025.
The iOS 18.2 update also enables a slightly wider release of Apple Intelligence, which is currently limited to US English. This simply means that more Apple device users in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa and the United Kingdom can experience the latest AI features.
Users with the iPhone 15 Pro series, iPhone 16 series, select iPads and Macs with Apple Silicon can experience Apple Intelligence after the update.
Cupertino has also confirmed that Apple Intelligence will be coming to India in April 2025 in Indian English and a few other languages such as French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and Vietnamese.
While we’ll have to wait a while to experience Apple’s full suite of AI features, the company is slowly but surely adding more capabilities and expanding these features to more markets.
We expect Apple to complete the rollout of all officially announced Apple Intelligence features by WWDC 2025, when the company will likely unveil iOS 19 and subsequent versions of Apple Intelligence.
