The first sale of the iPhone 17 series has just started today. Many buyers have waited in the long queues, while others ensured to grab it from e-commerce websites before it go to the “currently unavailable” zone. But before you get excited, know that the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone Air are witnessing a bug which is causing black boxes in photos. It was first reported by CNN Underscored’s Henry Casey, who suggested that every 10 images taken by the iPhone Air or the iPhone 17 Pro have a small portion of black spots.
Apple Responded
As per a report by MacRumors, Apple explained to him that the issue is only available in rare situations. Especially when an LED display with extremely bright light is directed towards the iPhone camera.
However, you don’t need to worry as Apple has confirmed to roll out a fix in the upcoming software update. But the release timeline for the next update isn’t mentioned yet.
All About The New iPhone Air And iPhone 17 Pro
Apple has launched a whole new iPhone Air, which is the slimmest iPhone ever, with just 5.6mm thickness. It also gets a bigger display than the standard version, with a 6.5-inch OLED display. It also gets a 120Hz refresh rate and packs an A19 Pro chipset, the same as the iPhone 17 Pro models. However, the photography is handled by a single camera setup of 48MP at the back and an 18MP front camera.
On the other hand, the iPhone 17 Pro has a triple camera setup headlined by a 48MP main along with a 48MP ultrawide and a 48MP telephoto. It features a 6.3-inch display. The rest are the same – A19 Pro chip, an 18MP selfie camera. Both models bring Apple Intelligence and all the new features of the iOS 26.
