iQOO’s next flagship, the iQOO 15, has emerged online in a new leak. A Chinese tipster took to the microblogging site Weibo to share key details about the upcoming flagship’s display, camera, and battery. The leakster suggests that the iQOO 15 might be the brand’s first device to feature wireless charging. Here’s everything that has been rumoured so far.
iQOO 15 Specifications, Features (Leaked)
According to a leak by tipster Digital Chat Station, the iQOO 15 will still sport a standard flat display with 2K resolution. The phone is tipped to feature a self-developed display chip. The iQOO 15 will feature a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication.
In terms of camera, the tipster mentions a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom capability. The flagship device is said to support 100W wired flash charging technology along with a possible wireless charging – a first for an iQOO device.
Previously, the same tipster had suggested that a flagship is in works with a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip and 50MP triple cameras, including a 3x periscope telephoto lens. According to Gizmochina, these two reports describe the same device and they could be part of the iQOO 15 lineup.
iQOO 15 Ultra in the Works?
Many reports also suggest that iQOO might introduce an Ultra variant – dubbed the iQOO 15 Ultra – with its upcoming lineup. The device could sport a 6.85-inch LTPO AMOLED display and a 7,000mAh battery that supports 100W wired charging along with wireless charging.
As for the launch date, the iQOO 15 could launch in China in October this year – given that the iQOO 13 was announced around the same time last year.
To recall, the Indian variant of iQOO 13 features a 6.82-inch 144Hz LTPO OLED display and runs on Snapdragon 8 Elite. It packs a 6,000mAh battery with 120W fast wired charging. For photography, the phone houses a triple 50MP camera setup with a 2x telephoto lens. The iQOO 13 launched in December last year at a starting price of Rs 54,999 for the base model.
