JOHN Legend’s furious off-camera reaction has been revealed after his The Voice team member Renzo’s shocking loss on last night’s season finale.
Despite being a frontrunner to take home the season 27 trophy, Renzo came in third – shocking fans as his coach appeared devastated by the unexpected loss.

During Tuesday night’s The Voice finale, Renzo was up against fellow finalists Adam David from Team Michael Buble and Jaelen Johnston, who was on Team Kelsea Ballerini.
Host Carsen Daly then delivered the news that Renzo was the first runner-up, and the audience gasped in shock that he came in third place.
Renzo appeared to take the news well, nodding his head and giving his opponents a big hug before walking toward his coach, John.
John, 46, smiled and embraced Renzo as he whispered in his ear that he “deserved” the win this year.
However, an insider told The U.S. Sun that off-camera, John appeared much more defeated than he seemed when being filmed.
“John looked really frustrated when Renzo was let go. He played it off classy as always but you can tell this one got to him.
“When John walked off camera, he looked even more mad and kept shaking his head in disappointment.
“At one point, he mentioned that this was his ‘hardest loss’ since he joined the show and he really felt as though Renzo deserved the win the most.
“It seemed like a bit of a shock to John,” the source claimed.
‘A MARVEL TO WATCH’
Just before the results were announced, the Grammy-winner gushed about the love he had for the contestant he mentored all season.
Appearing emotional, John told Renzo: “I have absolutely loved working with you. I love your professionalism and your attention to detail.
“The fact that every performance you’ve given have always been better than rehearsals.
“And rehearsals have always been great but you really know when to show up and turn up the notch.
“It’s such a marvel to watch you do your thing, it’s such a joy,” he said as Renzo beamed with a smile.
While Renzo came in third place, Jaelen Johnston came in second as Adam David secured the top spot.

RENZ-O NO!
The season 27 finale had a polarizing reaction from fans – many of whom were vocal about wanting Team John Legend finalist, Renzo, to win.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one viewer wrote: “The Voice is a joke.
“Do people not know what good singing sounds like anymore? (Inc the judges). There are 20 people in my smallish church alone that sing far better than this winner or ANY of the top 5.”
“RENZO GOT COMPLETELY ROBBED! RENZO SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE WINNER OF NBC #THEVOICE. THIS IS TOTALLY BOGUS! PATHETIC,” another raged.
“No freakin way did that dude win.. Reno was robbed,” sounded off a third.
“Well America failed again. Renzo was the best from the start and definitely didn’t deserve 3RD PLACE,” a fourth fired off.
