KROGER customers have demanded a u-turn on the new shopping cart change and begged for them to have “stronger” materials.
The beloved US retailer has been called out for the recent switch, as the carts have been slammed for the noise they make.

The disgruntled shopper made the social media platform X their stage, and used it to hit out at the store.
They wrote on Sunday: “@kroger New carts probably need redesign with stronger materials.
“The lower metal spot welds that hold the lower shelf to the cart are often broken, and the wheels have signs of wear and make an incredible amount of noise.
“I see many stray empty carts at the entrance, as if there is a test-drive initiative before taking the cart through the store.”
It is not clear why the Kroger carts are so often damaged, if the shopper is to be taken at face value.
The fact that the shopper didn’t specify at what Kroger they found the broken carts makes it hard to determine if this is a store-wide issue or not.
If the new materials aren’t very good, it his suggests that it could be an issue across a lot of Kroger stores, but without any detail it is hard to make this assumption.
Kroger did respond to the post: “Hi there! thank you bringing this to our attention.
“Would you mind sending us a private message?
“We’re eager to assist you and provide the best support possible.
“Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you!”
This is a standard reply from a supermarket, and is often seen replicated by others like Walmart or Aldi.
It is hard to tell if the interaction continued in private.
KROGER KOMPLAINT
The US Sun recently reported on a separate incident at Kroger which led to a customer speaking out against the retailer.
This complaint slammed the customer service at Kroger.
The fiery customer named the store and revealed this was an issue he had faced before.
He wrote on X: “Waited at the service desk @kroger in Grovetown GA for about two minutes.

“Waited at the service desk @kroger in Grovetown GA for about two minutes.
“Two working two going on break. Looked me right in the eyes and never said a word.
“TERRIBLE customer service. Spoke with the GM Eric several months ago on the same topic – no change.”
It is important to note that it is not known if the two workers were in the middle of assisting someone else.
