Digital manufacturing solutions provider SYSPRO has made a key addition to its executive team, appointing Leanne Taylor as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).
This strategic move, announced on April 16, highlights SYSPRO’s focus on accelerating revenue growth, enhancing customer success, and expanding its international reach.
SYSPRO CEO, Jaco Maritz, emphasized the value Taylor brings, stating, “Leanne’s expertise in revenue acceleration, customer success, and partner ecosystems will be instrumental in helping us capitalize on new market opportunities and scale our digital manufacturing solutions. Her leadership aligns perfectly with our growth ambitions, and we are confident she will drive long-term value for our customer and partner community.”
This appointment follows SYSPRO’s acquisition by global private equity firm Advent, which is focused on accelerating the company’s growth. Backed by Advent, SYSPRO has already advanced its expansion, notably acquiring channel partner NexSys and strengthening its presence in key markets like the US and UK.
With Taylor steering its revenue strategy, SYSPRO is strongly positioned to bolster its market leadership, drive further global expansion, and continue empowering manufacturers and distributors through digital transformation.
She brings extensive experience in scaling global operations and leading significant digital transformation projects. Her background includes serving as Senior Vice President of Group Commercial Strategy at Cloud Software Group, managing a multi-billion-dollar business, and holding leadership positions at industry giants like Citrix and SAP. Her ability to develop impactful go-to-market strategies and drive profitability makes her an ideal fit for SYSPRO’s ambitious goals.
Expressing her enthusiasm, Taylor said, “I am excited to join the talented team at SYSPRO at such a pivotal time. SYSPRO’s strong foundation in digital manufacturing, commitment to innovation, and customer-centric and partner-first approach creates significant opportunities.”
What This Means for ERP Insiders
SYSPRO views the shift to a cloud business as central to its future strategy. Taylor’s appointment reinforces the company’s plans to go beyond offering cloud deployment to include changes in management, reporting, commercial models, and the overall technology stack. Its future development and focus are heavily weighted towards enhancing and expanding its cloud capabilities, responding to a clear increase in customer demand for cloud solutions observed in the last 12 months.
A strong focus on M&A. The partnership with Advent International provides SYSPRO with new resources and mechanisms, including the potential for Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) as highlighted by its recent acquisition of Nexsys. This focus could potentially boost SYSPRO’s pace of innovation and the introduction of new functionalities compared to the company’s historical approach.
The focus on partner ecosystems, led by Taylor, aims to deliver greater value. SYSPRO continues to specialize its ERP solutions specifically for the manufacturing and distribution sectors. This appointment reinforces their plan to deliver industry-specific functionality and digital transformation tools tailored to the unique needs of these businesses. With Taylor’s appointment, customers can anticipate continued innovation in SYSPRO’s digital manufacturing suite and a reinforced commitment to helping them achieve success with the platform.
