Chinese EV maker Leapmotor unveiled its flagship D19 SUV on Wednesday evening, the first model built on its new high-end D platform. The vehicle will be available in both pure electric and range extender variants.
The pure electric D19 features a 115kWh battery offering up to 720km range, 1000V fast charging that adds 350km in 15 minutes, and a maximum output of 540kW. The range extender version pairs a generator with dual motors, cutting system weight by over 60kg and providing 500km pure-electric range with an 80.3kWh battery and 40L fuel tank.
Both versions feature advanced technologies such as Qualcomm dual 8797 chips with 1,280 TOPS AI computing power for in-cabin AI models and driver assistance, as well as LMC2.0 chassis control, DLP projection headlights, and a 60-inch AR-HUD. The company has not yet announced pricing. [TechNode reporting]
