Lenovo just dropped the latest version of its gaming tablet lineup, and it’s a serious upgrade across the board. The new Legion Y700 packs enough power and could even rival some of the best gaming phones and tablets on the market right now. From a buttery smooth display to a flagship-tier chipset, this new tablet is a powerhouse in every aspect.
The Legion Y700 comes with an 8.8-inch LCD panel. This is no ordinary display as it has a super high 3K resolution, a super-smooth 165Hz refresh rate and a 98% DCI-P3 colour coverage. That makes it perfect for both multimedia binges and getting serious work done. Plus, Lenovo has also added in DC dimming to keep your eyes comfortable for those long gaming sessions.
Under the hood, the Legion Y700 goes all out with the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset which is the same powerhouse found in flagships like the Galaxy S25 Ultra and OnePlus 13. It comes with up to 16GB of LPDDR4X Ultra RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. Plus, there’s a microSD card slot that lets you expand storage up to a massive 2TB.
On the camera front, Lenovo has equipped the Legion Y700 with a 50MP rear shooter and an 8MP front-facing camera, which should be more than enough for video calls, document scanning, or snapping the occasional photo. On the audio side, it supports Dolby Atmos, ensuring sound is always crisp and delivers an immersive, well-rounded audio experience for users. All of this is powered by a 7,600mAh battery, and it also gets a 68W wired charging support. The tablet runs on Android 15 out of the box with Lenovo’s custom ZUI 16 skin layered on top, bringing some gaming-focused enhancements and UI tweaks.
Lenovo has also made an accessory for this tablet that makes this a perfect portable gaming setup. The new G9 controller that snaps right onto the tablet, turning it into a handheld gaming console. It’s sold separately for 499 Yuan(about Rs 5,914) and gives an almost Switch-like experience,
The Legion Y700 (2025) comes in two clean color options: Black and White and the pricing starts at 3,299 Yuan(approx Rs 39,090). Although Lenovo hasn’t officially launched their gaming tablets in India yet, the growing demand for Android tablets in the market might lead them to bring the Legion Y700 gaming tablet to India soon.
