NETFLIX isn’t cheap and its prices seem to keep rising – so make sure you’re claiming some of its less-well-known benefits.
A top-tier Netflix subscription costs as much as £17.99, which is a hefty sum to come out of your account each month.
You’ll hopefully be working your way through the movies and telly, but try these three perks too…
NETFLIX PERK #1 – FREE GAMES
First up is Netflix’s vast library of free games.
By having an active Netflix subscription, you’re entitled to download a load of premium mobile games.
You can bag them on your iPhone or Android and play to your heart’s content.
These games don’t have any ads or extra fees – and in-app purchases are banned.
Netflix says it has over 80 exclusive games on offer, and they’re all part of a standard Netflix subscription.
You can also play them on multiple devices using the same account.
To find them, just go to the Netflix app on your phone and navigate to the Mobile Games row.
When you tap on the game and try to claim it, you’ll be redirected to the Apple App Store on iOS for iPhone or the Google Play Store on Android.
This game will be linked with your Netflix account, giving you access for as long as you have an active Netflix subscription.
NETFLIX PERK #2 – SPATIAL AUDIO
If you’re paying for Netflix’s Premium plan then there’s a special perk that you might not know about.
It’s called Spatial Audio, and it upgrades the sound on certain pieces of content.
“Netflix spatial audio is available on the Premium plan and enhances sound without the need for surround sound speakers or home theater equipment,” Netflix explains.
“It works on all Netflix supported devices,” the company added.
If you don’t have Netflix Premium, you won’t be able to access this perk.
To find Spatial Audio content, just search “spatial audio” in the Netflix app.
You’ll find a selection of TV shows and movies that offer it.
And there’ll be a spatial audio label on the content, which looks like a person’s head and torso surrounded by sound waves.

NETFLIX PERK #3 – LIVE TELLY
You probably wouldn’t associate Netflix with live telly, but it’s getting there.
For a start, it’s showcased some live television, including some NFL in December – plus November’s Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson boxing spectacle.
Thanks to a deal with WWE, Netflix will be showcasing wrestling livestreams regularly.
You’ll be able to watch WWE Raw weekly on Mondays at 5pm Pacific Time and 8pm Eastern time – which is 1am on Tuesdays in the UK.
As well as that, Netflix will be showing the Screen Actors Guild Awards live on February 23 at 5pm Pacific Time. That’s 1am the following day in the UK.
It looks like Netflix is trying to invest more in live TV, and the regular livestreams of WWE content may be a sign of things to come.
