Despite the challenges that they faced, Adobe completed their project on time utilizing tools from SNP which helped them transform their environment for the future.
Tim Garippa, Transformation and Innovation Lead at Adobe Technology, sat down with Robert Holland of ERP Today to discuss Adobe’s recent transition to SAP S/4HANA including a migration from a very large source system and a short deadline for completion. Garippa appeared on stage during the SNP Transformation World keynote along with other SNP customers to talk about Adobe’s success and the role that SNP played in their project.
Adobe had started their SAP S/4HANA project with another partner and when SNP came on board there were just 10 months until their go-live date. Given that the first 11 months of the project had faced numerous hurdles, Garippa indicated that there was a lot of work to be done to complete the project on time and that this was only achieved by working with SNP and IBM.
Garippa highlighted the fact that Adobe’s business has fundamentally changed since they originally implemented SAP at a time when they were shipping software on CDs or floppy disks to customers. Given the number of transactions Adobe completes each day, their source system had over 150 TB of data, a massive amount of data to shift into SAP S/4HANA.
