It’s been a while since we’ve been to Bromley, but the last time we were there, we didn’t think it was much of a party centre. Clearly we were wrong as Marshall as introduced its first party speaker, and it’s given it the name of the Bromley 750.
Party speakers have been growing in popularity, and considering Marshall makes some of the best outdoor speakers; it makes a certain amount of sense that they’d venture into the party speaker area. This is a lot bigger than the Tufton outdoor speaker.
Priced at £899.99, the Bromley 750 faces off against the some steep competition in the form of JBL and Sony, but here are a few reasons why Marshall has a good chance of competiting against some of the best in the business.
The Bromley 750 has massive battery life
Marshall’s wireless speakers are known for pushing the boundaries of battery life. In fact, there’s not another portable speaker brand that offers battery life quite as long as Marshall does, and the Bromley 750’s battery life means parties go through the night, into the next day and then back through the night.
At 40+ hours, that’s battery life that goes on for more than most, and also means that you don’t have to plug it into the mains and therefore keep it one place all the time. If you want to move the party outside, you can, and you don’t have to worry about trailing cables.
You can swap out the battery too if you don’t want to plug it into the mains.
It has an IP54 splash rating
Surprisingly, most of the party speakers Trusted Reviews has tested tend to come with an IPX4 rating, which is pretty basic and standard.
The Marshall Bromley 750 comes with an IP54 rating, which offers protection against liquids (water, beer, etc) and dust (or small particles). That suggests that while you can use the Bromley 750 in your garden, you could also take it further afield like the beach… if you can haul the speaker there.
It’s worth noting that IP54 is not fully waterproof, so when the weather gets bad, you’ll want to cover this Marshall speaker up.
It’s wheely good
Marshall does make it easier than most to transport this party speaker around. Given Marshall’s heritage in the live music industry, it does know a thing or two about lugging heavy equipment from one place to another.
Tilt the wheels and you can take the Bromley 750 from one place to another; while the handles make it easy to lift in and out or your car.
Become a karaoke superstar
You can stand in front of the Bromley 750 and be illuminated by its integrated light show, but if you;ve designs on showing your friends just how good (or bad) your music skills are, you can as this party speakers comes with all the inputs to add extra equipment to it.
Want to sing? You can add microphones and belt out your favourite tune. Want to add a turntable? You can do that too, and there’s room to add audio effects with adjustments made on the control panel. You can relive the days when Pop Idol was a pop culture moment (remember that?)
When does the Bromley 750 go on sale?
We’ve mentioned how much it costs (£899.99) but when does it go on sale? There’s two dates to keep track off.
The Bromley 750 is available to pre-order right now, and if you purchase from the Marshall website, it’s available from September 23rd.
It’ll go on sale from other retailers from September 30th.
