MARVEL Rivals Season 1 is here, adding Fantastic Four characters to the hero shooter’s roster and a new Battle Pass.
Ahead of the game’s first-ever season, update version 20250110 is bringing buffs and nerfs to all characters, along with some bug fixes and the new seasonal content.
The balance adjustments in the new patch are based on an analysis of battle data from the first month since the free-to-play game’s launch.
As stated in the balance post for the new update, the tweaks are aimed at “enabling a broader roster to partake in more intricate gameplay”.
Here are all Marvel Rivals balance changes in Update 20250110’s patch notes and the new content coming with Season 1.
Marvel Rivals Season 1 Patch Notes: Balance Changes
Instead of nerfing the strongest characters in the current meta too much, the new update focuses more on buffing other characters to make them more viable picks, too.

Most Duelists are receiving buffs, while Hela, Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, and Black Panther are getting some of their stats nerfed.
Among the Vanguards, Captain America, Thor and Venom are getting buffed, while Doctor Strange and Hulk are receiving nerf to their shields.
Virtually all Strategists are getting increased healing capabilities, except for Luna Snow, who is seeing her ultimate nerfed a bit.
You can find all balance adjustments to each hero in the detailed v20250110 balance patch notes, on the Marvel Rivals website.
Marvel Rivals Season 1 New Content: Fantastic Four, Battle Pass, New Maps
As revealed a week ago, Marvel Rivals Season 1 is bringing the Fantastic Four as playable characters.
Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman have just dropped into the game, taking the roles of Duelist and Strategist, respectively.
A second wave of character additions on February 21 will see The Thing, a Vanguard, and Human Torch as another Duelist, added to the game.
The first season brings a new Convoy map – Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown, and a new arcade mode Doom Match with its Sanctum Sanctorum map.
In Doom Match, 8-12 players will battle free-for-all, with the top 50% claiming victory at the end of each match.
Of course, the new season brings a shiny Battle Pass with 10 sets of hero costumes to unlock.
The Season 1: Eternal Night Falls Luxury Battle Pass, as it’s called, costs 990 Lattice, Marvel Rivals’ in-game currency.
That’s the equivalent of just under $10 / £8 in real money, as that’s the price of a 1000 Lattice bundle.
The unlock time for daily missions and the in-game shop refresh has been moved to 9am GMT / 4am ET / 1am PT.
