WASHINGTON CAPITALS star Matt Roy’s wife, Linsey Roy, has shared heartbreaking news of a miscarriage.
Taking to Instagram on Friday, Linsey opened up on the devastating ordeal, saying she hoped sharing the story would help anyone else who has experienced the same.

She said: “Earlier this week we said goodbye to our baby girl.
“A very surprising, unexpected and incredibly wanted natural pregnancy.
“Met with an equally shocking and devastating loss.
“I choose to share our family growing journey in hopes it helps even one person feel less alone. Less isolated. Less pain.”
The Roys welcomed their first child, Nico, in January 2024, while Matt still played for the Kings in Los Angeles.
He has missed the last two games for Washington due to “family reasons”, before returning to the team on Friday.
Linsey has been open about her motherhood journey for years, with this being her fourth miscarriage according to her social media.
She added: “Loss after living children still sucks.
“It hurts not being able to give Nico this sibling we were hoping for.
“We are so sooo grateful to have Nico, and while he fills our hearts with so much joy, this pain also stings, leaves a hole in our hearts, and gives us another angel up above.”
Roy, 30, returns to availability for his team weeks before the NHL playoffs.
He featured in the 5-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks.
The win took their record at the top of the Metropolitan Division to 49-18 and nine overtime losses.
