MCDONALD’S has left fans on tenterhooks as they eagerly await the return of a previously discontinued product.
Last month, the iconic fast food chain announced that the beloved snack wrap will be making a comeback in 2025.
The brand teased the return of the treat on December 5 in the form of a cryptic X post.
“xx.xx.2025,” it said.
Fans couldn’t contain their excitement as they bombarded the fast food giant, prompting it to respond to one with “The countdown begins.”
The snack wrap, which consists of chicken, lettuce, and cheese in a warm tortilla, first hit McDonald’s menus in 2006 before being discontinued in 2016.
Chiefs apparently pulled the plug on the item because they took too long to make.
The decision to axe the item didn’t seem to go well, as online petitions were created in response.
Joe Erlinger, the president of McDonald’s USA, admitted in an interview on the Today show he had received “so many” emails about the snack wrap.
One petition created in 2021 racked up more than 17,000 signatures.
The creator labeled the decision to shelve the product as “foolish” as they urged McDonald’s chiefs to roll back the years.
They claimed that the snack wrap was the best item on the menu.
Fans have been counting down the hours until they make a comeback.
Some have claimed the snack wrap making a return is the most exciting news of 2025.

“McDonald’s finally bringing back the snack wrap.”
Another said the date cannot come soon enough, while a third said they missed devouring the treat.
“Please bring back the damn snack wraps for the love of Jesus,” a diner demanded.
But McDonald’s has come under pressure by some to release the snack wrap today – January 1.
“Snack wrap needs to be out January 1st,” a diner warned.
“I’m not playing with y’all.”
The fast food chain was hounded by impatient fans who demanded a date in response to social media posts about other McDonald’s treats such as the McRib.
McDonald’s has kept the date of the snack wrap release under wraps.
The company didn’t respond to comments made by The U.S. Sun.
McDonald’s McValue menu will hit restaurant boards next week.
Diners will soon be able to dig into a $5 meal deal, and fans will be able to choose a McChicken, a McDouble, or a four-piece chicken nugget meal.
