Our next Sales Development Representative (SDR) Day is fast approaching, so we asked a few of our people who experienced it last time how they were getting on.
Meet Nandini, one of the newest members of our SDR team. Five months into the role, we wanted to check in to see what she remembers from her SDR Onboarding Day and how the experience has help shape the start of her career in Sales.
What was your experience during the SDR Day like?
Excited yet nervous of course, but I soon felt comfortable and at ease. We were given proper instructions as to what to expect throughout the day. While waiting for our interview turns, we had a nice chat with couple of then ‘employees’ now ‘colleagues’ who shared their experience being at OneAdvanced. I immediately felt like it would be a positive and friendly space to work. All in all, it was an amazing experience.
How did you find the hiring process of the SDR Day?
It was planned out well is what I can say, the different tasks that were given to us, and the interview at the end, clearly gave me an idea of what was expected of me, which I believe helped me boost performance. Hearing back soon was indeed the best part!
What did you learn from the day and from starting your SDR role?
Active listening and comprehending the root cause of a problem are the key skills and the loophole in being best at sales. Sales is not transactional rather, at OneAdvanced, it’s a consultative approach to solving a problem which I believe is purposeful and makes me enjoy what I do best.
How has being part of the SDR Day impacted your career journey within Sales?
It gave various insights about the role itself, looking back it was a capsulated scenario of what my everyday is going to look like. The best part was I interacted with a lot of people on the day which I believe helped me paint a picture of the company’s culture and how casual and friendly the co-workers are going to be.
What has been the most exciting thing about your experience so far, either on the day or since starting?
The entire journey, honestly! 5 months into the job the progression in knowledge and the confidence in the role has significantly improved due to constant training, support and encouragement. Its simply a great place to work!
