Microsoft has signed with the Generalitat of Catalonia, through its Secretariat of Telecommunications and Digital Transformation, a renewal of your strategic collaboration agreement in the implementation of innovative digital solutions, focused above all on AI, to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of public services.
The agreement, signed within the framework of the Mobile World Congress 2026, is focused, in addition to AI, on cybersecurity and data governance. With this extension of the agreement between both parties, the bases are established to be able to identify collaborations between both entities in matters already related to technological transformation. In this sense, the implementation of training initiatives aimed at the field of education will be specifically valued, especially through teacher training. But also from civil society, for which Microsoft’s collaboration with associations, foundations, NGOs and professional associations will be encouraged. On the other hand, work will be done on the definition of an AI training program aimed at public employees of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
