Thanksgiving has been and gone and, all of a sudden, Christmas is just a couple of weeks away.
So it’s time to start thinking about what I’m going to put on my list to Santa, and also deciding what to buy for my loved ones.
We’re lucky that we live in an age of instant purchases and next day deliveries, so if you, like me, have left it a bit late in the day, fear not—this wish list should have us all covered.
It’s a tech-fuelled wish list that not only covers what I want to find under my tree come Christmas morning but also includes a few options for the women (a wife and two daughters) in my life.
Hopefully you’ll be inspired by some of my picks…
For Me
Weber Spirit EPX-335
Buy from: Weber | £1,099 / $1,399
Okay, BBQ season may be a long way off but outdoor cooking is now a year round event with clever tech like the Weber Spirit making it easier than ever to cook up a storm al fresco.
It boasts three burners, including a dedicated sear zone for achieving perfect searing on steaks and other meats and the integrated smart barbecuing tech will let you monitor and control their cook via a smartphone app, so you can stay indoors in the warm safe in the knowledge that you’re not burning your food.
70mai Dash Cam Omni
Buy from: 70mai | $139.99
Okay, so this is more practical than sexy tech but, with more chancers on the road than ever before, a dash cam is a must nowadays.
Boasting a barrage of innovative AI-driven features, the 70mai has an “industry first” 360-degree field of view for complete road coverage, and smart collision detection and parking surveillance for extra layers of protection.
Google Pixel Tablet With Charging Dock
Buy from: Google | £499 / $399
Google’s Pixel Tablet may well be my favorite-ever ‘Made by Google’ bit of kit.
It offers a unique blend of productivity and entertainment, especially when paired with the charging speaker dock, which makes it much more of a smart home hub when docked.
It can seamlessly transitions between a portable tablet and a smart display, perfect for video calls, streaming, or managing your home’s ecosystem.
Nebula Cosmos 4K SE
Buy from: SeeNebula | $1,299
You can transform any room into a cinema with the Nebula Cosmos 4K SE. With stunning Ultra HD projection and built-in Dolby Audio, this portable projector delivers an immersive viewing experience.
Perfect for movie nights, gaming, or streaming your favorite Christmas cartoons, it’s ideal for anyone wanting big-screen entertainment with flexibility.
Bose QuietComfort Ultra
Buy from: Bose | £449.95 / $429.95
Bose has a few rivals for the QuietComfort now, with Sonos and even Dyson arriving this year with similarly-priced rivals.
But its the Massachusetts brand that still wins for my ears. Known for their unmatched noise-cancellation technology, the Bose QuietComfort Ultra headphones take audio immersion to the next level. Whether commuting, working, or relaxing, these headphones ensure pristine sound quality and comfort for hours of use.
Meta Quest 3S
Buy from: Meta | £289.99 / $299.99
If you tried a VR headset a few years ago when it became a ‘thing’ again but gave up because it was still a bit naff, you might want to have another try… things have moved on tremendously in a short space of time.
Zuck and Co.’s Meta Quest 3S aren’t the flagship device but pack a pretty hefty punch for a fairly reasonable price tag.
Featuring enhanced graphics and immersive capabilities, the 3S headset is perfect for gaming, fitness, or exploring virtual worlds.
Aiden Precision Coffee Maker
Buy from: CoffeeMerch | £365
Fellow’s Aiden Precision Coffee Brewer is a revolutionary coffee maker that bridges the gap between traditional drip coffee and pour-over methods.
This slick looking machine features precise temperature control, ensuring optimal brewing for every bean and boasts a built-in bloom cycle and adjustable settings, allowing you to craft the perfect cup, whether you’re a seasoned coffee enthusiast or a casual drinker.
Sharp KS4 e-Scooter
Buy from: Sharp | £559.20
Look, I’m well aware that I am a middle aged man. And middle aged men probably shouldn’t be riding around town on an e-Scooter.
But have you ever tried one? They’re great fun and they’re probably saving my knees from totally giving up… that’s what I’m telling myself anyway.
Sharp’s e-Scooter has all the bells and whistles you’d expect – such as a digital display and LED lights – but also boasts a handy companion app and USB charging port for your phone.
For Her
Dyson Supersonic Nural
Buy from: Dyson | £329.99 / $399.99
A step up in hair care, Dyson’s Supersonic Nural Hair Dryer – as you’d expect from a Dyson machine – blends sleek, futuristic design with advanced functionality.
The big selling point is the dual diffuser system, offering distinct benefits for different hair textures.
With a unique set of smart features, like the Scalp Protect Mode that adjusts the heat when close to your head, and intelligent attachment recognition that remembers your preferred settings, this Dyson dryer promises a high-tech, personalized styling experience, albeit with a hefty price-tag.
Shark CryoGlow
Buy from: Shark | £269.99
No, this isn’t a high-tech Halloween mask; although it could definitely double up as such and I might use it to scare annoying relatives into leaving on Christmas day.
It is, in fact, a revolutionary at-home skincare device that combines the power of LED light therapy with under-eye cooling technology, addressing various skincare concerns, including under-eye cooling, anti-aging, blemish repair, and skin maintenance.
Shark FlexFusion Straight
Buy from: Shark | £369.99 / $329.99
Another Shark entry here, the FlexFusion went live earlier this year, building on the success of the massively popular Flexstyle, but coming in at almost double the price.
But for that extra outlay you’re getting a 5-in-1 hair styling tool that combines the power of a hair dryer and straightener, with FlexFusion Technology.
This fuses powerful air with heat-controlled ceramic to deliver fast, efficient styling without compromising on hair health.
Twelve South PlugBug 50
Buy from: Twelve South | £55.99 / $55.99
My wife loses her phone charger, and also leaves the house with hardly any juice in her phone battery’s tank, on a daily basis.
This solution from Twelve South will solve both of those problems as, not only does it feature two USB-C ports with 50W of total power, it is also compatible with Apple’s Find My feature, so she should – in theory at least – always know where she’s left it.
Brabantia Kitchen Scales Plus
Buy from: Brabantia | £37.99
She’s ‘into’ baking at the moment, and a lot of the blame for soggy cakes or flat breads (that aren’t meant to be flat) are laid at our ageing analog scales.
Step forward these stylish set of scales boasts then, which feature a large, easy-to-read display and a user-friendly interface, making it simple to measure ingredients – and, therefore, hopefully mean no more disappointing results.
Anker Soundcore C40i
Buy from: Anker | $99.99
Soundcore’s latest addition to its clip earbud lineup, the C40i boasts a redesigned clip that flexes to fit snugly onto the cartilage of your ear.
With a soft, flexible connector reinforced by titanium wire, these earbuds stay securely in place and, for people (such as my wife) with smaller ears, optional grips ensure a tighter, more personalized fit.
Despite their open design, the C40i pack a punch with a 12x17mm titanium-coated racetrack driver and an innovative 20-degree acoustic port, focusing sound directly into your ear with minimal leakage.
Tormek T-1 Kitchen Knife Sharpener
Buy from: Tormek | £350
This could have easily gone in the ‘For Me’ section but I didn’t want to be too greedy, and risk hitting the Naughty List.
The Tormek T-1 Kitchen Knife Sharpener is a professional-grade sharpening system designed to restore and maintain the edge of your kitchen knives, utilizing a unique water-cooled grinding wheel and jigs to achieve incredibly sharp and durable edges on a wide range of knives
The new Tormek T-1 Morakniv 1891 model looks super stylish too, with a sleek industrial design with a powder-coated zinc body stamped with the collaboration logo, diamond grinding wheel, composite honing wheel and a solid birch handle in the famous Morakniv red.
For The Kids
The History of Life on Earth
Buy from: Smyths Toys | £34.99
Your little ‘uns will be able to unleash their inner scientists with this exciting kit, which combines hands-on experimentation with cutting-edge technology.
They’ll be able to conduct fascinating experiments, build 3D models, and even embark on virtual reality tours with the included headset.
At the very least this should buy me a couple of hours peace on Boxing Day while I try and sleep off the effects of the Big Day.
MyFirst CareBuds
Buy from: MyFirst | £59.99
My kids absolutely love their music now, which I, in turn, absolutely love… but I don’t absolutely love their music. No. No, no, no.
In order to save my ears from hours of the latest and “greatest” pop tunes, these kid-friendly earphones will come in super handy.
With a maximum volume cap set at 85db, you can rest easy knowing your kids won’t be cranking up the volume to potentially harmful levels. They also boast a feature that automatically switches to transparency mode when the earbuds sense movement, allowing kids to stay aware of their surroundings.
Google TV Streamer
Buy from: Google | £99 / $99.99
Over the Christmas Holidays my kids will spend a few nights away from home and their beloved smart TV apps.
However, they can take their favorite apps and shows with them with the new Google TV streamer, which makes navigating streaming platforms a breeze. It’s also packed with parental controls and a range of content options, so it’s a great tool for family friendly entertainment.
Dancing Groot Lego
Buy from: Lego | £39.99
Okay, okay – so Lego technically isn’t tech. But it’s technical. So… close enough and, let’s face it, I want this more than the kids do.
Once they’ve got bored of the final technical parts and you’ve all completed the 459-piece model together as a family, you’ll be able to make the Guardian of the Galaxy dance by turning a wheel at the back.
Twelve South HoverBar Duo
Buy from: Twelve South | £79.99 / $79.99
Again, more one for me than the kids, but mounting an iPad to the dining room table and letting them hit Roblox or Disney+ for a few hours might just mean I can get some post-Christmas cleaning done without them getting under my feet.
Long term, it’s also a nifty way of making homework sessions more fun, allowing you to mount a tablet in a much more creative way.
Skullcandy Crusher Evo – Dustbox Limited Edition
Buy from: SkullCandy | £179.99
I’ve gone for the CareBuds above but I have a feeling that the kids might end up losing a wireless earbud.
These over ear cans, from Skullcandy, which boast Personal Sound by Mimi and 40 hours of playback, will be much harder to lose even if the limited edition Dustbox design has a bit of a camouflage vibe.
However, even if they do lose them I’ll be able to track them down as they are compatible with Tile.
