NETFLIX is plotting to ramp up its live TV programmes with new viewer voting in real-time.
The streamer has a growing number of live broadcasts, from WWE and boxing, to cooking shows.
Now the firm has revealed plans to add live voting to get people more glued to the action.
Netflix started testing the feature with Dinner Time Live with David Chang over August.
And it’s previously tried it out on hits Too Hot to Handle and Love Is Blind too.
Now voting will be coming to more shows widely next year.

It’ll be used for talent competition series Star Search, a US format that’s being revived after more than 20 years.
Star Search featured a number of big names before they found global fame, including LeAnn Rimes, Justin Timberlake, Britney Spears and the Backstreet Boys.
Viewers will be able to vote using their phone or TV.
A prompt will appear giving people a limited amount of time to vote, much like during traditional TV broadcasts.
“If you’re sitting at home watching ‘Star Search’ on your TV, you’ll be able to either on the TV or your mobile phone actually put in a vote that advances or doesn’t advance some of the contestants on the show,” Netflix’s chief technology officer Elizabeth Stone said at the News Disrupt event.
“So it’s just a very early starting example of the ways that we think content can be more interactive over time, across devices, between TV and mobile, where a member who subscribes to Netflix can actually feel like they’re part of the story, influence the storyline, and feel immersed in that.”
It’s not the only change Netflix is playing with.
Another new addition you can expect to see in future is a second-screen style feature for events.
And the app itself will get special overhauls with themed “immersive” homepage moments based around seasonal events like Christmas or a big franchise such as Bridgerton.
The Kids profiles are set to receive a redesign too with easier navigation.
