Netflix reported its quarterly earnings yesterday, and alongside revealing viewership data from the first half of 2025, Co-CEO Ted Sarandos name-dropped a bunch of the streamer’s biggest TV shows and movies that are coming throughout the rest of 2025 and into 2026.
Netflix’s back half of 2025 has ‘most anticipated slate of new movies’ ever
Ted Sarandos, who made his acting debut in Apple TV+ hit The Studio this year, also happens to be Netflix’s Co-CEO, was asked yesterday whether Netflix can continue its strong momentum from the first half of 2025 into the rest of the year and beyond.
This led him to rattle off a long list of the biggest new shows and movies Netflix has coming the rest of this year and into 2026.
He highlighted four particular TV shows for the remainder of 2025:
- Wednesday season 2
- Stranger Things season 5
- Untamed, a new Eric Bana murder mystery series
- Leanne, a new comedy from Leanne Morgan
Netflix will also premiere new seasons of The Witcher, The Diplomat, and A Man on the Inside before the year ends, based on previous announcements. And undoubtedly a whole lot more.
On the movie front, Sarandos said this year will bring ”perhaps the most anticipated slate of new movies that we’ve ever had.” Those include:
- Happy Gilmore 2
- Knives Out 3
- Jay Kelly, from Noah Baumbach
- Frankenstein, from Guillermo del Toro
- A House of Dynamite, from Kathryn Bigelow
- The Rip, with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon
Here’s what’s coming to Netflix in 2026
Sarandos then turned to Netflix’s 2026 slate, highlighting three big movies coming: Enola Holmes 3, Greta Gerwig’s Narnia adaptation, and Apex.
Where he spent most of his time, however, was the 2026 TV slate.
Here’s the list of returning TV shows Sarandos mentioned for 2026:
- Bridgerton
- One Piece
- Avatar: The Last Airbender
- The Gentlemen
- The Four Seasons
- Running Point
- Beef
- 3 Body Problem
- Love Is Blind
- Outer Banks
- Lupin
- Berlin
- 100 Years of Solitude
Finally, he named several brand new series coming to the streamer in the new year:
- Man on Fire
- Little House on the Prairie
- The Boroughs
- The Human Vapor
- Operation Safed Sagar
- Can This Love Be Translated?
- Wonka’s Golden Ticket
- Star Search
Netflix has long sought to be a streamer for everyone, with massive amounts of content being made for viewers all around the world.
While there’s no doubt much more coming than what Sarandos highlighted, this at least provides an overview of some of the most noteworthy titles on the way.
