FREELY TV has quietly launched a fresh box complete with a premium bonus perk.
The Humax Aura EZ 4K Freely Recorder will come complete with remote control technology, playback controls and a bespoke button for Freely services.
An official price has yet to be confirmed but could scan for around £250.
The new release will run Android TV 12 – a step up from the original Aura’s Android TV 9.
Punters will have access to a whopping 1,000 hours of recording capacity, optical digital audio output, and aerial input and loop-through ports.
The fresh release will also be energy efficient thanks to its deep standby mode.

Buyers will be granted access to all freely apps including BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, 5, and BBC Sounds.
Streaming apps such as YouTube and Prime Video will also feature.
Freely is run by the same company that operates the much-loved Freeview, Everyone TV, itself owned by the BBC, ITV, Channel 4 and 5.
The benefits of Freely compared to Freeview is that you don’t have to rely on an aerial, which can sometimes succumb to patchy signal – it means you can finally place your TV anywhere in the room without being bound by TV ports or cables too.
Freeview is delivered via a technology known as Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) which has a limited amount of space for channels.
While Freely is all online so it can host hundreds and even thousands of channels.
Freely was launched in April 2024 but only built into brand new TVs on sale.
Then last year plans were announced for standalone Freely boxes so people can plug in and enjoy the service from their existing TV.
