Nintendo Switch 2 has got all the fans on their nerves with constant rumors flowing around. Until now, nothing related to the console has been announced by Nintendo. However, the leaks and rumors have played their role perfectly and we have a lot of information related to the upcoming console by Nintendo. Recent leak shared by 91mobiles and OnLeaks, Nintendo Switch 2 will bring an 8.4-inch OLED display which is a considerable upgrade as compared to its predecessor.
Nintendo Switch 2: What can be expected?
The Nintendo Switch 2 will be larger in size than the first console from the series and it will measure around 116.4 X 31.4mm along with the Joy-Cons. And yes, the Joy-Cons in the second generation Nintendo console look bigger than what we got to see in the predecessor. There is almost no change in the base design of the console. However, a new Home button can be seen in the leaks placed on the right Joy-Con.
Apart from that, the Switch 2 will most probably bring a 3.5mm headphone jack for wired audio output and a USB-C port for charging. The kickstand of the console has been reportedly redesigned and looks more robust now. The game card slot will be included in the upcoming console as well which could be a hint towards the availability of backward compatibility with the current Switch titles.
And the latest CES 2025 edition has played a major role in increasing the excitement around the launch of the console. A report by the French blog Numerama shared the mockups of the Switch 2 console provided by accessory producers like Genki.
This clearly means that the accessory makers are already gearing up to create stuff that can add to the aesthetic value of the console. Genki has also claimed in one of the reports that the console could launch by April 2025. That being said, we suggest our readers take the information with a pinch of salt as nothing has been confirmed officially until now.
