Credential Capture and Replay
While testing NordPass’ Chrome browser extension, I could capture and replay existing and new credentials at several websites without changing auto-filling settings, which is ideal. While using the Chrome and Edge extensions, I could generate new passwords and combine them with NordPass-generated email addresses to sign up for services.
Password Generator
With NordPass’s password generator, you can set a password length of up to 60 characters and choose whether to include capital and lowercase letters, digits, and symbols. NordPass passwords default to 20 characters, a reasonable minimum.
Storage and Form Filling

Customers can store a wide variety of documents, like driver’s licenses and passports, in their encrypted vaults. I was impressed by the Reminder settings for each storage entry, which let you set an expiration date for documents with physical counterparts that may require renewal, such as an ID or a professional organization membership.
You can also take a photo of your credit card and store that information in the app. The Secure Notes section allows paid account holders to store memos and links, as well as up to 3GB of JPEG, PDF, MP4, or DOC files in their vault.
As expected, I could fill out web forms using the information from the Credit Cards and Personal Info sections of the NordPass vault. NordPass also lets you create custom information fields in all sections, as do RoboForm and Sticky Password.
Password Sharing

Secure password sharing is only for Premium accounts. However, if you have a big family or a friend group that likes to share streaming credentials or other passwords, NordPass recently added some sharing options that you may find helpful.
Previously, the sharing options had vague names, such as Full Rights and Limited Rights. The new sharing options are action-based, so you can tell what each one does. For example, Full Rights is now called Can Edit, and Limited Rights is called Can Autofill. Two new options have also been added to the list: Can Share and Can View. This makes it easier for everyone in the family or friend group to understand how to use the shared password. There are also time-limited sharing options that let you specify an expiration date for certain shared items, from 1 hour to 1 month. After the expiration date, the recipient loses access.
Remember, the person you’re sharing with will need to download the NordPass app or browser extension to accept the shared password.
Emergency Access
NordPass allows authorized family members or friends access to your password vault. In the event of an emergency or death, people you’ve authorized can request access without knowing the master password. If the account holder does not accept or decline the request within seven days, NordPass will grant access to the authorized contact.
