Released overnight in beta form is OBS Studio 32.0, the next feature release for this widely-used, open-source and cross-platform application for desktop streaming/recording.
One of the headline features of OBS Studio 32.0 is introducing a basic plug-in manager to help handle extra functionality around this desktop streaming/live-casting software. For Windows and macOS there is also now opt-in automatic crash log uploading.
There are new NVIDIA RTX software features added for OBS Studio 32.0 too. There is now Voice Activity Detection (VAD) added to NVIDIA RTX Audio Effects to help improve noise suppression for speech. There are also optimizations to NVIDIA Effects. A chair removal option is also added to the NVIDIA RTX Background Removal functionality.
The other new feature worth mentioning is Hybrid MOV support that brings ProRes support on macOS and then HEVC/H.264 and PCM audio support on all platforms.
