Oppo has officially confirmed that the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will launch in China on October 16, alongside the debut of ColorOS 16.
Oppo has revealed that the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 SoC and will ship running ColorOS 16.
The base model packs a 7,025 mAh battery, while the Pro version boosts that to 7,500 mAh. The phones will also have an interesting addition: a physical button dedicated to AI features.
Pre-ordering is already live for the Pro model on Oppo’s China store, but if you’re on the fence, you’ll be able to get a good look at ColorOS 16 on October 15. You can expect a redesigned interface, smoother performance, and enhanced AI features – but what that actually entails remains to be seen.
What to expect
If the Find X9 mirrors previous Oppo flagships, these specs could deliver real improvements in daily usage. With that large battery on both phones, expect longer usage between charges. The dedicated AI button may streamline access to assistant features or voice commands, making interaction more fluid.
Fans of Oppo will be keen to see how ColorOS 16 feels in practice – smoother UI transitions, updated styling, and tighter integration with core apps should all help. Also, since the series uses the Dimensity 9500 chip, it’s worth checking out how it stacks up against previous and current SoC rivals in performance, which we cover in our Dimensity 9500 vs 9400.
Global release and what’s next
Oppo says the Find X9 series will launch globally, though specific dates for other regions haven’t been confirmed yet. As the October 16 date is fast approaching, we expect to hear more in the coming weeks about the display, camera, pricing, and more.
As ever, we’ll keep you posted on the latest news, so stay tuned.
