CTO Shyam Sankar said that the real competition of Palantir was “lack of responsibility with the government”.
Alex Karp, the fellow founder and CEO of software company Palantir, said that he thinks that the Ministry of Governmental efficiency of Elon Musk will disrupt the US government – and that it will be good for Americans and the company that he leads.
“We love disruption, and what is good for America will be good for Americans and very good for Palantir,” Karp said in response to a question about Doge during the company’s quarterly call on Monday.
“Disruption, at the end of the day, exposes things that don’t work,” he said. “There will be ups and downs. There is a revolution. Some people will cut their heads. We expect to see and win really unexpected things.”
Two weeks after President Donald Trump’s second term, DOGE has taken out the disturbance steps to dismantle USAID, the agency that treats American foreign help and buyouts for federal employees.
Palantir has contracts with government organizations, both in the US and abroad, many of which use its software for military operations and intelligence. In the US, Palantir has contracts with the US Army and the Ministry of Defense, including a number of hundreds of millions of dollars.
The Palantir’s winning report on Monday defeated the expectations of analysts, with the American turnover for the quarter that grows 52% on an annual basis. The company said that its US government income for the tax year 2024 grew by 30% on an annual basis to $ 1.2 billion. Palantir shares rose almost 24% after the hours in the midst of profit news.
Palantir has a narrow and sometimes complicated relationship with the US government. In 2016, Palantir The American army complainedAccusing bias in his bidding process. Palantir won the business and has since concluded various contracts with the army. In December Palantir announced that it had concluded a contract with the army for more than $ 400 million.
The stated priority of Doge, now an office of the White House led by Musk, is to make the government more efficiently by reducing expenditure and reorganizing some federal agencies. In the first week, Doge said that it has canceled $ 420 million to federal government contracts.
Karp recently defended Musk against criticism that a gesture he made resembled a Nazi greeting. He said CNBC that calling Musk a Nazi “was completely absurd and a complete rewriting of history”.
Palantir Cto Shyam Sankar also said on Monday’s win that doge would be good for the company.
“The real competition from Palantir is a lack of accountability for the government,” said Sankar. “Doge will bring the government meritocracy and transparency.”
