PayPal World is a new global platform designed to connect some of the world’s largest digital wallets and payment systemsstarting with total interoperability between Paypal and Venmo. The platform will premiere next autumn and in the launch it will include partners such as Mercado Pago, UPI (Via NPCI International), Tenpay Global, Paypal and Venmo.
For many users, sending money or making international purchases can be expensive, complicated or simply impossible. PayPal World is designed to change that, allowing consumers pay with your local wallets in millions of businesses around the worldboth online and in physical stores. It also allows peer transfers (peer to peer) fluids between compatible platforms across borders.
In its launch, the platform will connect almost two billion users worldwide through a single system. It will allow users to pay international merchants using their national wallets in their own currency and offer companies instant access to these users without the need for additional development, as explained by Alex Chriss, president and executive director of PayPal:

Paypal World is designed for be open and not depend on any technologywith a native multirregional implementation configuration of the cloud to support global trade. Use open trade APIs and is designed with safety and performance in mind, with the ability to climb as more wallets are incorporated.
PayPal World: PayPal y Venmo
As part of this launch, Paypal and Venmo will be interoperable. This means that an avemo user in the US can send money to a PayPal user in Europe, or vice versa, simply by entering their phone number. Pares in pairs (P2P) between both applications will be available globally, which will expand the role of both platforms in cross -border financial activity.
By 2026, Venmo users can also Buy online and in physical stores in any business that PayPal accepts. This function is expected to expand merchants to the youngest audience of Venmo, which prioritizes mobile devices, and offers consumers more options to buy internationally.
Paypal World is expected to be compatible with various future technologies, such as dynamic payment options and payments with stable currencies. It also prepares for a world where you buy through agents (where IA agents help users to discover and buy products) become more common.
