Behind this name a bit of a technical, the Play Wall Washer hides a real feat of design and light efficiency. The projector, designed to blend into the decoration even when turned off, relies on ColoCast technology to project a dynamic bright gradient on large wall surfaces. Its matt aluminum silhouette contrasts radically with classic plastic entertainment lights, affirming its place in the living room as a full -fledged decoration object.
But it is once on, especially in synchronization with audio or video content, that the Play Wall Washer reveals all its potential. Thanks to the dynamic entertainment algorithm integrated into the Hue ecosystem, the lighting adapts its light effects in real time according to the atmospheres of a game, a film or a piece of music. A visual experience enhanced by the possibility of precisely adjusting the distance and the projection angle via the mobile application. The device naturally connects to all other Hue products, to HDMI Sync housing, and to synchronization platforms for PC or televisions. It is also compatible with Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Homekit.
The Hue Play Wall Washer is available at a Price of € 1,99 per unit, € 349 for a lot of 2.
An artificial intelligence that includes your light desires
In parallel with this launch, Philips Hue strengthens the capacities of its AI assistant integrated into the application. This technology, announced at the start of the year, is now available in the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg, with a deployment planned in the United Kingdom in July, then in the rest of the world by the end of August.
The objective? Create even more natural and intuitive light atmospheres. The user can now describe an emotion, an atmosphere or an opportunity, and the assistant takes care of generating a tailor -made light scene. If no pre -existing scene is suitable, AI generates a new one, on request. A more human and contextual approach to home automation, which moves away from the simple preprogrammed scenarios.
The system is only in its infancy. Other features are expected in the coming months: creation of routines, evolutionary automation and integration of a chatbot to guide users in their use of the platform.
With this double launch, Signoy, the parent company of Philips Hue, confirms its desire to make light much more than a simple connected switch. The Play Wall Washer enriches an already dense ecosystem, where design, multimedia synchronization and personalization by artificial intelligence are combined to offer a complete light experience.
