Since the gameplay presentation in September, Insomniac Games (the developer of Ratchet & Clank or even Marvel’s Spider-Man) have been very discreet about their next game. We knew it, the title was planned for 2026 and more precisely for autumn. But, with the arrival of a certain Grand Theft Auto VIwe suspected that the game would skip the November period.
Finally, the game will even be a little early and will be released at the very end of summer, September 15, 2026 in exclusivity on PS5. The game will of course be entitled to optimization for PS5 Pro.

The game is still not not available for pre-order. You can only add it to your wishlist. Here again, we have known for several weeks, Insomniac Games is preparing a lot of communication time on Marvel’s Wolverine for this spring. There is therefore a good chance that we will be entitled to a State Of Play dedicated to the game in April or May. It is undoubtedly on this occasion that we will be entitled to the first official details about the game, and the announcement of the different editions.
For the moment, we only had the right to an announcement during a PlayStation Showcase in September 2021, then to a gameplay presentation during the State Of Play in September 2025. For a few hours, the game announcement video was taken offline and is no longer accessible.
So far we only know that the game will take place on Earth-1048 of the Marvel Universe, similar to that of the series Marvel’s Spider-Man from Insomniac Games. The title will be a third-person game, with phases of action, adventure and combat. It will be a game with a linear structure and semi-open areas. It shouldn’t be open-world.
