POPEYES has launched a brand new sauce option for customers this summer amid another popular addition.
The fast food chain is giving top competitors like Raising Cane’s a run for its money.

Now a permanent offering on menus at Popeyes over 3,100 locations, the Signature Sauce arrived on July 14, per a press release.
It features celery, onion, bell pepper, garlic, and hot sauce flavors in what the chain dubs a “Lousiana-style” mixture.
“Creating a signature sauce is a monumental moment for our brand, and one we approached with care, knowing it had the potential to become an iconic part of our menu,” Amy Alacron, vice president of culinary innovation at Popeyes, said in a statement.
“It’s incredibly unique and own-able to our Cajun roots, which is a true testament to our Louisiana heritage.”
The Signature Sauce arrival also comes with the Chicken Dippers, which are “thin strips of all-white breast meat and hand-battered in Popeyes signature Louisiana garlic and spice blend.”
Chicken Dippers are specifically crafted for customers to dip in the Signature Sauce, or any one of the sauces on Popeyes list.
Except, while the Signature Sauce is permanent, Chicken Dippers are only around for a limited time while supplies last.
They’re currently $4.99 and come “packed with bold taste,” per Monday’s release.
COMBINE AND SAVE
Popeyes also recommends that consumers dip Cajun Fries, Chicken Sandwiches, Wings, and even Chicken Wraps in the new Signature Sauce, which comes in a round cup.
To help encourage customers to do this, the chain is introducing the Build Your Own Bundle digital feature.
The sweet deal is only available through Popeyes mobile application and website, but it gives consumers the chance to choose three protein options on the menu and two sides for just $20.
It’s important to note that prices may vary slightly by state.
Several other chains like Taco Bell and McDonald’s that don’t typically favor chicken-based menu items have started to in recent months.
Taco Bell recently launched its lineup of the Crispy Chicken Taco, Crispy Chicken Burrito, and Crispy Chicken Strips.

THE CHICKEN WARS
The fast food industry is currently in the midst of what appears to be a chicken battle as consumer demand increases.
Findings from Research and Markets noted that the chicken market is expected to be worth around $268.35 billion by 2033.
Experts attributed the growth to several factors including Americans’ desire for “inexpensive protein [and] a growing health consciousness that favors lean meat.”
“Chicken-based menu items including fried chicken, chicken sandwiches, and chicken nuggets have come mainstays in QSR offerings as consumer preferences change toward convenience and quick meals,” the findings explained.
Popular brands like Raising Cane’s are opening at least 20 more locations in 2025, and 118 opened last year.
Bojangles is even eyeing a $1.5 billion deal after Subway’s parent company bought Dave’s Hot Chicken.
Fast food prices are also still getting slammed by consumers.
A McDonald’s fan recently cried out after an “absolutely insane” surge for a meal from $10 to $25.
Popeyes was also criticized by a fan who bought a $15 meal that went up to $20 before the “extra fees.”
