A POPULAR app available on Amazon Fire Sticks and Roku devices is undergoing a major overhaul making it easier to find favourite shows and movies.
Plex is one of the leading free streaming apps around, with more than 600 channels available in various countries to watch at no cost.
The app is accessible in the UK and US, as well as Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Spain, Brazil, France, and Germany.
Plex hosts a bunch of movies and TV shows, including reality, crime, music, sport and kids content.
Many are broken down into themes with back-to-back episodes.
For example, kids can find a channel with nothing but Mr Bean or quiz show Pointless.
There are also a load of movie channels – or you can just select some on-demand too.
This includes 30 Days Of Night, The Eye, Labyrinth and Daybreakers to name a few.
And with Christmas just around the corner there are some festive titles as well, including 1946 classic It’s a Wonderful Life and comedy Nativity 2.
But now the app is receiving a brand new look with “one seamless interface”.
Testing has started on the mobile app first and will come to TV screens “very soon”.
Plex says it has had to “rewrite our apps from the ground up” over the last two years.
“One of the key changes is redesigned navigation that makes it easier to dive into the different parts of Plex and discover content with simplicity,” Plex explained in a blog post.
“Through extensive testing, we found that this new structure not only helps existing users navigate more intuitively but also gives new users a much clearer sense of what Plex is all about.
“We’ve brought our core features to the forefront, saying goodbye to the days of hidden hamburger menus and making it easier to explore with one hand on your phone.”
Elsewhere, the Watchlist now has its own dedicated spot in the top navigation so you can access it even quicker.
Users will notice that artwork stands out a lot more now too.
