Popular Fire Stick now ‘lowest price ever’ at £17 as Amazon discounts top models

AMAZON has slashed the price of loads of Fire TV Stick models.

And there’s a way to get one popular Fire TV Stick for as little as £17.99.

It’s part of a major “limited-time” sale that sees Amazon cutting the cost of its plug-in streamers.

If you’re unfamiliar with them, Fire TV Sticks plug in to the back of your television’s HDMI port and upgrade the telly with bonus apps, features and voice controls.

And you can get a special bonus on one Fire TV Stick by buying Amazon’s Certified Refurbished model.

This is a special Amazon refurbishment scheme that sees the gadget tested in-house by Amazon.

“Each pre-owned device goes through a full diagnostic test, thorough cleaning and inspection, secure data wipe, and replacement of any defective parts identified in testing (where applicable),” Amazon explains.

This particular model is the Amazon Fire TV Stick HD.

Normally it would cost you £39.99, but it’s currently down to £19.99.

But the Certified Refurbished version has a cheaper retail price of £35.99.

So the newly discounted price brings it to a lowly £17.99.

According to the CamelCamelCamel tracker – which monitors Amazon listings – this gadget hasn’t been put up for a lower price.

So this appears to be the “lowest price ever” on this particular product.

FIRE TV STICK – WHAT DOES IT DO?

This is the HD version of the Fire TV Stick, which is why it’s cheaper.

HD refers to the High Definition resolution that it supports, so you can still watch 4K content – but it’ll still only appear as HD.

It also comes with an Alexa Voice Remote so you can control your TV with spoken commands.

You can ask questions or demand specific movies or shows, and even tap into other connected smart home gadgets like your Ring Video Doorbell.

And Amazon serves up a load of free TV channels too. You can expand this roster with third-party apps like Tubi and Pluto TV if you want.

You can also use it to play music through Amazon Music and Spotify apps.
