Acer Laptop Deals

If you’re looking for a solid budget laptop that doesn’t break the bank, the Acer Aspire 5 is a good place to start. We gave it an “Excellent” rating in our review for its long battery life, capable performance, and comfortable keyboard and touchpad that felt good after many hours of use. With a narrow-bezel 15.6-inch FHD IPS touch display, it’s easy on the eyes and lightweight, and an ergonomic hinge lets you position the keys and the typing surface to your liking. Apple MacBook Deals

There’s no laptop experience quite like a MacBook, and we love the latest iteration of the MacBook Air. In our review, we gave this portable an Editors’ Choice award for how it combined boosted performance over the last generation of Apple ultraportables with a lower sticker price. Throw in a $150 Prime Day discount, and you’ve got an incredible deal. Apple’s M4 processor is extremely zippy, letting you run high-end creative apps with ease. It’s also the first MacBook Air to support Apple’s Neural Intelligence AI features. The screen is gorgeous, the speakers are solid, the keyboard feels good—this one’s a winner no matter how you slice it.

The last-generation, larger-screen MacBook Air is getting an even deeper price drop, and 26% off of retail is the lowest we’ve ever seen this fantastic ultralight laptop. Microsoft Laptop Deals

Microsoft’s hardware division has long pushed the Surface brand as a contender in the laptop space, and this 2-in-1 is a fun little portable with some nice perks. In our review, we noted that it was one of the first to market designed to optimize Windows 11’s Copilot AI, with a speedy Snapdragon X processor that tackled everything we threw at it. We also praised the high-quality all-metal build and haptic-feedback touchpad, which, when combined with the 13.8-inch touch-screen display, gives you tons of ways to interact with your apps. Battery life is also quite good, lasting over 25 hours in our tests with no issues. Prime Day brings us a 31% price cut on this configuration.

Lenovo Laptop Deals

We consistently rate Lenovo laptops highly for their build quality and responsive, comfortable keyboards and touchpads, and even the company’s ultra-budget models are satisfying. The Ideapad 1i has a quirky loadout, with a stodgy Intel Celeron processor paired with a surprising 20GB of RAM. That makes it a good-enough choice for people who keep a lot of applications open but don’t mind some performance slowdown on processor-intensive workflows. Storage is also decent, with a 1TB SSD and 128GB of eMMC storage. In our review of a similar IdeaPad 1, we said it was an affordable big-screen pick with good battery life.

Gaming Laptop Deals

Gaming laptops are also going to see discounts before Prime Day, and this MSI model is a solid example. While it doesn’t pump the kind of power needed to hit our list of the best gaming laptops, it’s a more-than-serviceable entry-level portable with a capable RTX 4060 graphics card serving up the pixels to its 15.6-inch FHD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The keyboard and touchpad both feel good, and the port selection is solid for your gaming mice and controllers. There’s plenty of room inside to boost RAM, as well, and 12% off is a solid price cut.

For a compact budget gaming laptop, you’re not going to find a better deal than this one on the Prime Day shelves. Even though it runs off of some last-gen silicon, most notably a Ryzen 8000-series processor and an RTX 4050 graphics card, it can still handle mainstream gaming at 1080p with no issues. That said, the screen resolution is actually WQXGA, or 2,560 by 1,600 pixels, so it’s a decent pick for content creation, too. Portability is also a big draw here, with a total weight of just 3.2 pounds, and battery life is decent. We reviewed a slightly different configuration if you want to dive deeper into the details.
