To face Squid Game on Netflix and Indiana Jones on Disney+, Amazon‘s streaming platform is banking on an iconic saga that is sure to delight its nostalgic subscribers. During the golden age of literary blockbusters brought to the big screen, there was one franchise that was as divisive as it was popular. Three years after the release of its first volume in 2005, the series of novels Twilight by Stephanie Meyer began her cinematic journey in 2008. In their respective roles as Bella Swan and Edward Cullen, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson left their mark on an entire generation of spectators, becoming the example to follow to the letter for numerous teen movies that followed.
Some see this formula as a rosewater turnip, while others devote it a real cult. Twilight is the kind of work you either love, or love to hate. This passion for the saga, whether positive or negative, does not fail to reinforce the legendary status of feature films. However, these subscribers have been absent from streaming platforms for more than three years. But now Prime Video is re-fishing the entire franchise, to the delight of its users craving romantic quarrels between vampires and werewolves. Chapters 1 to 5 of the cinematic saga are all accessible via Amazon’s Prime subscription since December 1st. But will Netflix end up regaining the broadcast rights?

Twilight on Netflix, it’s not completely finished
Bella and Edward left the N rouge catalog a long time ago but are about to return. Last September, the streaming giant announced the unexpected development of a Twilight animated seriesdedicated to adapting the novel Midnight Sun. This fifth book published in 2020 tells the beginnings of the love story between the two protagonists, from the opposite point of view of the vampire. The author took almost 12 years to write this work, demotivated by the leak of the first chapters on the internet.
It is therefore to the passionate readers and spectators, who have long campaigned for the rescue of this publication, that we owe the strong comeback of Twilight in recent years. When the animated adaptation of Midnight Sun will appear on the platform, it is a safe bet that Netflix will campaign to regain the rights to broadcast the saga internationally. Do you dare to dive into the endless marathon of all the films and episodes of the series?
