Summer is fading fast, but Prime Video is only heating up with great new movies to curl up on the couch to this weekend. When I can’t figure out what to watch next, I make a beeline to the streaming service’s list of the top 10 most-watched movies. Sure, it cuts through the noise, but how do you separate the movie night hits from the overhyped duds? Because let’s be real, not every Prime Video hit is worth your time.
I track the top 10s of streaming services every weekend and can say firsthand that a high ranking doesn’t guarantee a film is worth watching. To help you skip the scrolling and get to streaming, I’ve rounded up the standout picks from Prime Video’s current top 10.
Thriller fans are eating good this week with two of this year’s most intense films in the top spots. There’s also a romantic drama that’ll have you wishing summer (and young love) lasted forever. So without further ado, let’s dive into the best movies in Prime Video’s top 10 that are worth adding to your watchlist.
This article is based on the global Prime Video top 10 list as of Sunday, September 14, 2025.
Best movies in the Prime Video top 10
‘A Working Man’ (2025)
Watch On
Adapted from Chuck Dixon’s 2014 novel and co-written for the screen by director David Ayer and Sylvester Stallone, “A Working Man” might just be Jason Statham’s Statham-iest film to date. While it doesn’t quite have the same charm as last year’s collaboration with Ayer, “The Beekeeper,” fans of his gritty, no-nonsense action persona will find plenty to love.
Statham steps into the shoes of Levon Cade, a former Royal Marine Commando now carving a quiet life out for himself. Determined to leave his violent past behind, he focuses instead on proving himself a stable parental figure to gain custody of his daughter. That all goes out the window when human traffickers abduct his boss’s daughter. With the help of his old friend Gunny (David Harbour), Levon plunges back into a ruthless underworld once more to save an innocent life.

‘Last Breath’ (2025)
Watch On
I’m not exaggerating when I say “Last Breath” is so intense, I had to pause it midway through just to catch my own breath. This claustrophobic thriller chronicles a stranger-than-fiction incident in 2012 that left a deep-sea diver stranded hundreds of feet beneath the waves. It’ll leave you quietly thankful that even in the crappiest jobs you’ve ever had, at least breathing was a given.
While repairing an underwater gas line, a team of divers — Duncan (Woody Harrelson), Dave (Simu Liu), and Chris (Finn Cole) — face freezing temperatures, crushing pressure, and near-zero visibility. When a sudden storm throws the vessel off course and cuts Chris off from his teammates, the remaining crew scramble to mount a high-stakes emergency rescue where every second counts.

‘The Map That Leads to You’ (2025)
Watch On
That’s enough with the adrenaline-fueled thrill rides, though. For a breezier watch, “The Map That Leads to You” is a solid, if predictable, romantic drama that’ll give you one last sun-drenched taste of summer as we head into the colder months.
Recent college graduate Heather Mulgrew (Madelyn Cline) sets out on a meticulously planned European trip with her friends for one last hurrah before her finance career kicks off in New York. On an overnight train to Barcelona, she meets Jack (KJ Apa), a free-spirited traveler retracing his late grandfather’s steps. Drawn to his carefree nature, Heather’s strict itinerary starts to unravel as she and her friends journey with Jack through Spain, Portugal, and Italy. It’s not long before sparks fly between them, but as they get closer, new revelations and tough choices challenge Heather’s vision of her future.
