Switzerland’s privacy-focused Proton is launching its own version of Google Workspace for the business market.
Proton Drive for Business, as the service is called, enables real-time peer-to-peer collaboration on documents, with features such as version history, comments, and live cursors that show who else is viewing and editing documents.
Connections are end-to-end encrypted. The service is GDPR and HIPAA compliant and ISO 27001 certified.
The business component is reflected in the fact that the software’s appearance is customizable, a higher-level system administrator has control, and customer service is available immediately if needed.
The software package includes secure e-mail, calendar, VPN and a password manager.
Proton claims its services are already used by fifty thousand professional organizations.
