Disney+ and Hulu work with a combined login, so you can access Hulu either in its own app or as a Disney+ channel. The Hulu app will get shut down sometime in 2026. Until then, Disney brings you the ultra-popular Marvel and Star Wars franchises, while Hulu handles a more adult-oriented audience with movies and shows from network partners.
The two services release a ton of content every week, so I’ll make it easy for you by picking three worthwhile things to stream. For the last rundown of the year, we have one of 2025’s best horror movies, the return of British espionage thriller Red Eye, and lots of library films. The Life Of Chuck (Dec. 26, Hulu)
While we enjoy Stephen King’s straight-up chillers, it’s also fun when he stretches a bit. The Life of Chuck was a novella he released in 2020 that unfolds in reverse chronological order, exploring three key moments in the existence of accountant Charles “Chuck” Krantz. It’s a quite unusual movie, but hits an emotional register of optimism that’s well worth riding into 2026.
Together (Dec. 31, Hulu)
You know how you’re supposed to kiss the person you love on New Year’s Eve right when the clock strikes midnight? You might not want to do that anymore after watching Together, the body-horror hit starring Dave Franco and Alison Brie as a couple who move to the countryside and are possessed by a mysterious force that wants them to get uncomfortably close. Great practical effects and some real thought-provoking ideas in this one.
Red Eye: Season 2 (Jan. 1, Hulu)
We love a short, sharp British TV series, and the first season of Red Eye was a blast. Taking place entirely on a transcontinental flight from London to Beijing, it followed a Chinese detective escorting a British man back to Beijing on suspicion of murder. Of course, things aren’t nearly as simple as they seem, and when another passenger dies when they accidentally eat his meal, the pair must survive the trip and figure out what’s really happening. No idea how the second season will follow it up, but that’s part of the fun.
