Renewing a driver’s license? Software glitch leaves state drivers in lurch – Mississippi’s Best Community Newspaper

JACKSON – The Driver Service Bureau is still still experiencing a software interface issue due to the recent system upgrade. This is not the result of any internal matter within the Department of Public Safety.

Representatives of the DSB are working diligently with the vendor to resolve this as quickly as possible.

All statewide Driver Service Bureau locations will be open today, operating under regular business hours but with limited services available. The services offered will include:

• Firearm permits
• Identification cards not related to driver’s licenses
• Court required registry
