A CHEAP Ring doorbell accessory is getting rave reviews online – and it solves one of the gadget’s biggest problems.
As many as a fifth of Brits are now using video doorbells to guard their homes and packages.

And they’re also a great way to see who is turning up at your door before you open it.
But one of the problems with Ring doorbells is that you fit them flat to the doorframe, which means parts of your garden might be cut off.
So frustrated Ring doorbell owners are turning to a gadget on Amazon that lets you tilt the doorbell.
It’s called the Riovo Angle Mount, and you can use it to flick your doorbell out from between 30 and 55 degrees.

And it’s reversible so you can have it tilt to the left or the right depending on what you need.
Amazon is peddling the product for £11.39, which is down on its official £14.99 listed price.
The accessory works with a host of Ring doorbell models, according to Riovo.

And it has earned top marks from shoppers on Amazon, and even has a “#1 Best Seller” badge from the retailer.
It currently holds a 4.6/5 average rating based on more than 6,000 global reviews.
And 73% of those reviews gave top marks (five stars), with a further 18% handing out four stars.
One shopper who awarded five stars said: “Our video doorbell is in a recessed porch.
“This fitting allows the bell to be swivelled so that it maximises the view of whoever comes to the door.
“Without it most of the view was one of the side walls. It was so quick and easy to fit and adjust securely and is sturdy and fit for purpose.”

Another wrote: “Solid, easy to install and doesn’t feel like it can be broken easily.
“We’ve periodically had a few random people knocking the door over the last 33 years and after the most recent one, they came back twice in two days which is very unusual for round here.
” I needed a doorbell but I needed it angled so it would catch anyone coming through the main gate.”
And one added: “Easy to install and fits my Ring Doorbell perfectly, giving me a much better and wider view than without it.”

RIGHT HEIGHT
It’s not just the angle of the doorbell that matters either – but its height too.
The Sun recently revealed Ring’s official guidelines for video doorbell height.
And it turns out that the best position is exactly 48 inches above ground level.
That means the motion sensors have the best chance of spotting visitors – but without flagging up passing cars.

Ring also recently added a new feature that uses AI to track down secret events that your camera has filmed.
The new Ring Smart Video Search lets you look up specific moments, like “fox in the back garden last night” or “red bicycle in the driveway”.
