THE New England Patriots have hired their next head coach to replace Jerod Mayo.
Former Tennessee Titans head coach Mike Vrabel is the newest head coach of the Patriots.
Vrabel saw plenty of success with the Titans, and the Patriots are looking for veteran leadership since the departure of Bill Belichick.
Patriots legend Rob Gronkowski thinks Vrabel is the right man for the job and shared his excitement on Fox NFL Sunday.
“The New England Patriots got their guy this morning in Patriot great Mike Vrabel,” Gronk said.
“Let me tell you, Patriot fans are thrilled.”
Gronk said that Vrabel can bring stability to the organization and hold everyone accountable.
“This guy is going to keep everyone accountable in the organization from the coaching staff to the players,” Gronk continued.
“He’s going to keep himself accountable and even the front office he’s going to keep accountable.
“Let me tell you, once again, this guy has knowledge, power, and he’s going to be great.
“He knows how to discipline players.”
Gronk shared some advice for Vrabel and gave his suggestion of who should be the team’s offensive coordinator.
“If I’m Mike Vrabel, the first thing I do is call up Josh McDaniels, a familiar foe to Patriots fans,” Gronk said.
“Hire him as offensive coordinator as soon as possible.”
NFL fans are in agreement with Gronk and shared their thoughts about Vrabel’s hiring on social media.
“Gronk’s right, Vrabel’s no-nonsense approach could be just what the patriots need,” one fan said.
“It was a great hire,” another fan said.
