SHE sang about putting the hours in on Busy Woman – and now I have heard Sabrina Carpenter has taken inspo from the original workaholic.
Her routine at the MTV Video Music Awards in September will pay homage to Dolly Parton’s movie comedy Nine to Five, which also starred Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin.

COLDPLAY’S Chris Martin made an autistic fan’s dream come true on Friday night.

Friday marked the first of ten record-breaking nights at Wembley to close The Music Of The Spheres World Tour. And the notorious kiss cam – which caught a CEO cheating with his lover at a gig in Boston –this time captured a sweet proposal.
A man held a sign asking his girlfriend to marry him before getting down on one knee.
After she accepted, Chris sang: “On a day like this, I encourage you to kiss, I hope you’re happy till the day you die.”

Rather you than me, Samira.

YOU’LL GO FAR, BABY

WITH effortless charm, silky smooth vocals and electric guitar riffs, rock band Brigitte Calls Me Baby made their return to London this week.
Lead singer Wes Leavins swooned across the stage like a young Morrissey at Omeara on Wednesday night.
The Chicago band, who will play at All Points East festival today, formed in 2022 and have only released one album – The Future Is Our Way Out.
But that did not stop their adoring fans from singing along to tracks such as Too Easy and Pink Palace like they had been around forever.
Wes delighted the crowd by revealing they had finished recording their second album and played catchy new track Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction.
They closed with their own interpretation of George Michael’s Careless Whisper and a rendition of Impressively Average.
I saw the band play in June – and it seems that they are sounding better every time they step on stage.
Impressed? Yes. Average? Definitely not.
CHAPPELL ROAN looked like a bat out of hell at Reading Festival – with one of the winged creatures on her head.
The US star drew a huge crowd for her performance on Friday night, arriving on stage in black lace and slowly removing parts of her outfit throughout her 90-minute set.
Belting out hits The Subway, Red Wine Supernova and Good Luck, Babe!, a singalong highlight was also My Kink Is Karma – but it may have been awkward listening for one punter.
Chappell, who performed at Leeds Festival, said: “I dedicate this to my ex, who’s in the crowd tonight.” One way to get revenge.
