Enterprise software firm Sage has unveiled major enhancements to bring AI-driven insights, automation and connectivity to Sage 50 customers in the UK.
The improvements include faster sourcing of reports using natural language AI, which will also be able to quickly generate a company’s cash flow, transaction and sales summaries. In addition, AI-powered data extraction and classification will reduce the need for manual data entry.
To access the latest cloud-connected features, including Sage Copilot, Sage 50 customers will sign in using their Sage account which was formerly Sage ID.
These AI-driven improvements come as Sage’s latest Small Business, Big Opportunity report revealed that 85% of small-to-medium-sized businesses surveyed admitted that technology is critical to their success.
“Sage 50 has been the backbone of small business accounting for decades, and these new enhancements ensure it will remain a trusted tool for years to come,” said Neal Watkins, executive vice president, accounting and HR at Sage.
“We know many of our customers rely on it, and we’re committed to making it even better by integrating AI and automation to save them time, reduce manual work, and improve cash flow.”
With this update, Sage Copilot – which acts as an assistant to reduce repetitive tasks, enhance decision-making and encourage smoother financial operations – is being rolled out to early adopters in Sage 50.
