Sales of Apple’s iPhone 17 series rose 14% in the first 10 days after launch compared with the iPhone 16 lineup, according to Counterpoint Research. Analysts said the base iPhone 17 drove most of the growth, with its upgraded display, larger storage, and new A19 chip helping sales in China nearly double those of last year’s model during the initial launch period.
Analysts noted that roughly half of Apple’s revenue still comes from iPhone sales. Despite setbacks in developing new AI features and the fact that its “Apple Intelligence” services have yet to launch in the Chinese mainland, the company continues to show strong momentum in its core smartphone business.
