Samsung is making Galaxy AI more inclusive than ever. The company has announced support for two new languages – Gujarati and Filipino – taking the total to 22 languages globally. Samsung says the new language models were created in close collaboration with its R&D centres in India and Indonesia to make them sound natural and regionally accurate. “The addition of Gujarati to Galaxy AI is a milestone in our mission to democratize AI in India,” said Giridhar Jakki, Senior Director at Samsung R&D Institute India, Bengaluru. “We want native speakers to use Galaxy AI features like Call Assist and Interpreter in their own language, powered by on-device AI.” 
Galaxy AI Features
Galaxy AI comes with features like Live Translate, Interpreter, Chat Assist, and Note Assist. Here is everything that you get with Galaxy AI:
- Live Translate helps with real-time voice and text translation during calls.
- Interpreter instantly translates in-person conversations, great for travel or quick interactions abroad.
- Chat Assist fine-tunes messages, helping you sound professional, friendly, or casual depending on the tone you need.
- Note Assist and Transcript Assist help summarise notes, recordings, and even lectures, making them easier to manage.
- Browsing Assist offers quick summaries of long web articles for easy reading.
- With these tools, users can communicate, organise, and stay productive – no matter which language they speak.
Samsung says that since debuting with the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy AI has been adopted at record speed – now running on over 200 million devices. Samsung expects that number to cross 400 million by the end of 2025.
In India, almost 91% of Galaxy S25 users actively use Galaxy AI features. Samsung’s focus on mobile AI seems to be working, and it’s now reaching more users through added local language support.
