Samsung has announced what it believes is the world’s first glasses-free 3D gaming monitor to achieve a 6K resolution.
The new Samsung Odyssey 3D (G90XH) is 32-inches in size promises real-time eye tracking that adjusts the depth and perspective, depending on where the gamer is sat. This is certainly one we’ll be seeking out for an eyes-on look on the show floor at CES 2026, when the Samsung booth opens up on January 6.
The other specs promise a high-level experience beyond the extra dimension. There’s a 165Hz refresh rate that can be boosted to 330Hz through Dual Mode. The 1ms GtG response time will ensure you’ll have an extremely sharp experience.
Samsung says those 3D effects have been developed with the assistance of game studio and there’ll be a bunch of supported games out of the gate. Those include The First Berserker: Khazan, Lies of P: Overture, and Stellar Blade.
“Gamers will experience added dimensionality that enhances terrain, distance, and object separation beyond standard 2D gameplay,” Samsung says.
The world firsts don’t stop there, according to Samsung’s announcement. Additionally, the new 27-inch Odyssey G6 model offers the world’s first 1040Hz gaming display. Again, that figure is reached via the Dual Mode, while there’s native QHD support at 600Hz.
This high-level motion sensitivity is good enough for e-sports gamers, enabling “players [to] track targets and see fine details during high-speed movement.” It supports AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync.
There are also three new monitors in the Odyssey G8 line including 6K, 5K and OLED options each offering a different balance of resolution and speed.
“Leading the lineup, the 32-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HS model), the industry’s first 6K gaming monitor, delivers native 165Hz performance with Dual Mode that supports up to 330Hz in 3K mode,” the company says in a newsroom post.
“The 27-inch Odyssey G8 (G80HF model) provides a sharper 5K option with native support up to 180Hz, and with Dual Mode boosting to 360Hz in QHD for smoother motion.”
