APPLE fans have revealed two secret Siri tricks that make tricky iPhone tasks way easier.
There are two iPhone jobs that are difficult to do normally – but Siri can handle them in an instant.
They were revealed in a Reddit thread on the main iPhone forum.
The first is deleting all of your alarms.
Your alarms can stack up over time, and there’s no easy way to instantly wipe them all out.
But you can just ask Siri to delete all your arms and they’ll vanish with a single command.
Second is using Siri to turn your Wi-Fi off.
As The Sun has previously revealed, turning Wi-Fi off in your Control Centre doesn’t actually shut it down. It’s the same story for Bluetooth.
They’ll still stay available for certain features unless you go into the Settings app and fully turn them off.
Apple lists the following as features that will still continue to use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi in the background:
- AirDrop
- AirPlay
- Apple Pencil
- Apple Watch
- Continuity features, like Handoff and Instant Hotspot
- Instant Hotspot
- Location Services
- Unlock with Apple Watch
But you can ask Siri to switch them off and the assistant will shut them down properly.
Of course, keep in mind that the above features will stop working if you fully shut Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off – at least until you switch them back on again.
SMARTER SIRI
Siri is also being upgraded to become even smarter.
It’s part of the ongoing Apple Intelligence rollout that was announced back in June.
This month’s iOS 18.2 update added a new look for Siri that sees the assistant glowing around the edges of your screen.
Siri can also answer more complicated questions, and also throw your queries to ChatGPT for more help.
Apple says that there are more Siri upgrades coming soon.
“Additional Apple Intelligence capabilities will be available in the months to come,” the iPhone maker explained.
“Siri will be even more capable, with the ability to draw on a user’s personal context to deliver intelligence that’s tailored to them.
CONTROL YOUR APPS WITH SIRI!
Apple reckons you should try out the following commands on Siri…
- “Set up a meeting with Gordon at 9” to create an event in Calendar.
- “Add artichokes to my groceries list” to add an item to Reminders.
- “Send a message to PoChun saying love you heart emoji” to send a text using Messages.
- “What’s my update?” to get an update about the weather in your area, the news, your reminders and calendar events, and more.

“Siri will also gain onscreen awareness, and will be able to take hundreds of new actions in and across Apple and third-party apps.”
To get Apple Intelligence, you’ll need one of the following iPhone models:
- iPhone 15 Pro
- iPhone 15 Pro Max
- iPhone 16
- iPhone 16 Plus
- iPhone 16 Pro
- iPhone 16 Pro Max
Apple Intelligence also lets you create custom emoji that look like whatever you dream up – and the company’s top boss Tim Cook told The Sun what Genmoji he’d been creating.
MAKE SURE SIRI IS SET UP
Here’s how to use Siri on iPhone…
First, go to Settings > Siri and then tap on Talk to Siri.
Choose “Hey Siri” or “Siri”.
Then you can simply say “Hey Siri” out loud to make a request.
You can also activate Siri with a button.
If your iPhone has Face ID, press and hold the side button.
And if your iPhone has a Home button, press and hold that instead.
